Just over a year ago, the Writers' Guild (the organization/union of writers for entertainment media) went on strike.
The guild subsequently put together a YouTube video to help explain their position. I'm posting it here because it helps us to understand the concepts of convergence and disintermediation.
Similarly, the Screen Actors Guild was thinking of going on strike for similar reasons, but they have tentatively reached a deal.
